Spring Reading Thing

Spring Reading Thing is hosted by Katrina of Callapiddar Days.

Spring Reading Thing 2012 is a fun, low-pressure reading challenge open to anyone and everyone. It will take place March 20th-June 20th

My goal this Spring is to get through as many books on my stacks that have been sitting around awhile.  I know that I will want to read new acquisitions, but I will try to read one book from this stack to every new book that makes its way into my house during this challenge.

Have you read any of these books?

Until We Reach Home by Lynn Austin
The Soldier's Wife by Margaret LeRoy
The Loom by Shelia Gillus
Shakespeare's Lady by Alexa Schnee
God and Fathers by James LePore
May the Road Rise Up To Meet You by Peter Troy
Say You'll Be Mine by Julia Amante
The Night Train by Clyde Edgerton-DNF
Midnight Waltz by Jennifer Blake
The Canary List by Sigmund Brouwer
Tabloid City by Peter Hamill
To Be Sung Under Water by Tom McNeal
The Astral by Kate Christensen
The Things We Cherished b Pam Jenoff
Keep Sweet by Michelle D. Green

The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern
The Last Letter From Your Lover by JoJo Moyes
Ready Player One by Ernest Cline
The Girl of Fire and Thorns by Rae Carlson

Hosted by Audra Marie
When? March 20th – June 19th
What? Your challenge, should you choose to accept it, will be to read the word SPRING plus we’ve added three bonus mini challenges. How do you read the word Spring? Good question. You have three options:
a. Read books whose titles begin with each letter in the word SPRING.
b. Read books where the authors’ first names begin with each letter in the word SPRING.
c. Read books where the authors’ last names begin with each letter in the word SPRING.

Bonus:
1. Read a book with the name of a flower in the title.
2. Read a book with a flower(s) on the cover.
    The Bungalow by Sarah Jio
3. Read a book where the main character’s name is the name of a flower.

I am going to read option A:

Summerland
Perfect Storm, A
Rebel Wife, The
Innocent, The
Nadia Knows Best
Guilty Wives

I have not read any of the titles you posted. Wow that's quite a list. You can do it, I'm sure of it.

I've got The Canary List on my list too. I don't recognize any of the others. Your system is a good way of getting to those books piling up. I may have to adopt that next time around. Happy reading!

I haven't read any of the books you listed. I like your idea of reading one old book to one new one. Quite a few of the books on my list are ones that have been sitting on my shelves for a while. Good luck!

What a list! The only one I've read is Shakespeare's Lady...very well written especially for a debut author who was 18 at the time she wrote it.

Happy Spring...and Happy Reading!
