Saturday Snapshot

The local high school's fall musical was Phantom of the Opera. My daughter and I attended, interested in how a high school did this show. WOW, WOW!! we left there in amazement. This was the full production, not a high school version. The singing was fantastic, we were blown away.

Since we were not allowed to take a picture during the performance, this is the Phantom playing to Christine in his lair.

If the show was not sold out for this evening, we would attend again!

To participate in the Saturday Snapshot meme hosted by Alyce of At Home With Books post a photo that you (or a friend or family member) have taken. Photos can be old or new, and be of any subject as long as they are clean and appropriate for all eyes to see. How much detail you give in the caption is entirely up to you. Please don't post random photos that you find online.

Cute picture of the Phantom. I have seen high school and college productions that have been amazing and just as entertaining as the professional productions.

Sounds like a great time and a good production.
This reminds me that I have the music for The Phantom of the Opera around somewhere, I have to listen to it again.

I went to a high school play with a young friend about 5 years ago. She invited me along, I think because she didn't want to go alone. All the kids thought I was her gramma, and she never told them any different. Anyway, it was quite enjoyable. I love watching the young ones performing their HS plays. And it sounds like you do also, and it sounds like they did a great job with the play.

How great that you and your daughter got to experience that. High school productions can be hit or miss. When my daughter was in Alice in Wonderland, I thought it was awful, but when they did Beauty and the Beast, I loved it. My daughter is in college now but my 15-year-old she got a part in the ensemble of Oklahoma, so I'm excited to get involved again.

My husband and I attended a play last evening that my niece had a part in. It was hilarious in parts and the actors performed well.
It takes a lot of dedication on the part of community or high school students and staff to put on such a production.

Now that sounds amazing!!! How big is your local school??? We're a class B and we get about 50 kids to try out for the play. I would love to watch this one!!
