Saturday Snapshot

My son and his girlfriend carved this pumpkin. It is a wolf. They got their idea from the X-box game Zelda.  It survived the Halloween night festivities.  It is always an unknown if someone will try to snatch it from the front porch and smash it on the street.

To participate in the Saturday Snapshot meme hosted by Alyce of At Home With Books post a photo that you (or a friend or family member) have taken. Photos can be old or new, and be of any subject as long as they are clean and appropriate for all eyes to see. How much detail you give in the caption is entirely up to you. Please don't post random photos that you find online.

Impressive work! Sad to think that someone would ruin it so thoughtlessly, though.

Sorry to say that I can't see the wolf...but then I was the mom who could never see the child in all the ultrasound pictures either.

hehe how cool is that! My pumpkins are usually just the jack-o-lantern kind.

It took me a minute to see the wolf, but then I got it. I love how it glows!

I'm sorry to say but I'm having some difficulty seeing the wolf. It looks like quite an intricate carving job & very creative. I'm glad nobody smashed this pumpkin after the work your son & his girlfriend put into it.

Ah, I like it! Very nicely set with the dark backdrop.

Thanks for sharing...and for visiting my blog.

That's impressive. It's always interesting and fun to see all the different ways pumpkins get carved :-)

I'm having trouble with the wolf too, but I love all things Halloween. Carving is on our agenda for today or tomorrow since the storm last weekend messed up Halloween for us.

Very creative. I appreciate the work that goes into those carvings. I have a ceramic pumpkin in my window. That way I can use it again next year!

That's creative.

Ah. I love when they get creative. We didn't carve a pumpking together this year. My husband carved them real quick, and alone, on Halloween while the boys and I were at school. Here's My Saturday Snapshot

Gee, pumpkin carving has really become an art compared to when I was a kid. I always hated touching the slimy insides...LOL

Pumpkins are just temporary, no matter how they meet their end. What a fun picture!

My snapshot is here.

Very cool pumpkin! The one year we carved it was very basic. I love when I see the cool ones :)

Very nice. I love carved pumpkins. It's hard to photograph lighted pumpkins. You did a great job!

They did a great job … and the lighting in the photo makes it look extra spooky!

Love that pumpkin! Isn't it sad that people go out of their way to destroy stuff???
