Love On The Line

Rural switchboard operator Georgie Gail is proud of her independence in a man's world . . . which makes it twice as vexing when the telephone company sends a man to look over her shoulder.

Dashing Luke Palmer is more than he appears though. He's a Texas Ranger working undercover to infiltrate a notorious gang of train robbers. Repairing telephones and tangling with this tempestuous woman is the last thing he wants to do. But when his stakeout puts Georgie in peril, he realizes more than his job is on the line.

I know that when I pick up one of Deanne's books I will be treated to a strong, spunky heroine, maybe a bit ahead of her time, with passion for a cause she believes in. This book was no exception!  A delightful cast of characters that I loved and rooted for with a couple of surprise twists.  Love the historical background of the book as well.

Deeanne Gist--known to her family, friends, and fans as Dee--has rocketed up the bestseller lists and captured readers everywhere with her very original, very fun historical & contemporary romances. Add to this three RITA nominations, two consecutive Christy Awards, rave reviews, and a growing loyal fan base, and you've got one recipe for success.

She has a very active online community on her website and on Facebook.

I love the fact that this one is set in Brenham, TX. That's just to the south of me, between Austin and San Antonio. A very nice German community there with probably the best waterpark in the world, Schlitterbahn. Doesn't have anything to do with this book, but I'm just sayin'! LOL

I'll be on the lookout for this one. Love Texas Rangers too. Actually have known a few and my Dad was an honorary Texas Ranger.

I keep meaning to read one of her books because you speak so highly of them. One of these days I will.

I think I picked up one of this author's books at a library sale. I thought it looked like a cute read. I'll have to try to squeeze one of her books into my reading schedule. I like the idea of a strong, spunky heroine!

Hum. Probably not a good match for me but the Texas Ranger caught my attention as did the surprise twists.
