It was with some sadness that we closed the pool over the weekend. I keep telling my husband, "if we had a heater, we could enjoy it longer!" He counters with, "then we'd be closing it while the snow flies." Oh well, it is still nice enough to sit on the deck and read. With my cleaning frenzy this past week, I did not get as much reading in as normal, but it feels great to have those projects done.
Books Read:
The Hypnotist by Lars Kepler (twisty thriller)
The Ideal Man by Julie Garwood (go to author)
If You Ask Me by Betty White (quick & entertaining)
The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho (audio) - just as good as Shelia said
Due to the all day cleaning marathon I finished one audiobook and made good progress on another (Devious by Lisa Jackson, read by Joyce Bean). Still listening to ShadowFever on the iPod and The American Heiress.
Up Next:
White Heat by M.J. McGrath
A Good Hard Look by Ann Napolitano.
Utterly Charming by Kristin Grayson
Book Thoughts Posted:
False Witness
Before I Go To Sleep
Silent Mercy

As you're closing your pool, we had our first swim in ours on the weekend, spring arrived in a burst of summer heat lol
Have a great week and happy reading :)
I liked "If You Ask Me" by Betty White too: http://ourstack.blogspot.com/2011/09/if-you-ask-me-and-of-course-you-wont-by.html
Now I'm reading "Morning Comes Softly" by Debbie Macomber (about a Montana rancher looking after 3 orphans (his niece and nephews) and placing an ad for a wife).
Lots of new titles for me check out!

Sounds like you had a good week with some interesting books. I'll definitely check some of them out.
I really enjoyed The Alchemist as well. I plan on rereading it sometime soon.
I bet the Betty White book is hilarious... I may need to look at that one. YAY that you liked the Alchemist!
I have to get Betty White book asap. Can't believe she is going to be ninety this week!

Well, that's a lot of reading, with or without the cleaning frenzy! I'm going to see what you thought of Before I Go to Sleep - that's one I've been interested in.
Summer is definitely coming to a close.
I can't wait to read Hypnotist, sounds great, totally me.
I am sad to see the summer end because it was rather depressing weather, but I always enjoy the fall.
I'll be reading A Good Hard Look this week as well. Hope it's a wonderful read for both of us!
I just picked up Before I Go to Sleep on my iPod and I'm enjoying it. I hope you have a good week Nise! Get some rest after all that cleaning! Lol.
