But it’s the phone call from a Dr. Nash, a neurologist who claims to be working with Christine without her husband’s knowledge, that directs her to her journal, hidden in the back of her closet. For the past few weeks, Christine has been recording her daily activities—tearful mornings with Ben, sessions with Dr. Nash, flashes of scenes from her former life—and rereading past entries, relearning the facts of her life as retold by the husband she is completely dependent upon. As the entries build up, Christine asks many questions. What was life like before the accident? Why did she and Ben never have a child? What has happened to Christine’s best friend? And what exactly was the horrific accident that caused such a profound loss of memory?
Every day, Christine must begin again the reconstruction of her past. And the closer she gets to the truth, the more un-believable it seems.
A very good debut suspense/thriller. I was kept guessing the entire time. I loved those "OMG" moments, most of which I got wrong, except for one. I listened to the book on audio narrated by Orlagh Cassidy. This reader was recommend time and time again during audiobook week. She was fantastic! I would have loved just a few more pages to find out what happened when she woke up once again.Author: S.J. Watson

I am just starting to get into audiobooks so I am glad when a narrator is recommended. I have found already that some narrators are better than others. I have yet to listen to a thriller and will have to one a try soon. I think this sounds like a very good and suspenseful read or listen.
I realise that audio is not for me.
Glad you enjoyed this debut, I thought it was good, look forward to trying more.
This sounds like a good one! I don't usually listen to audiobooks - I've only tried a couple. But I may look into reading this.
I do want to read this one. Good to know it was a good audio.
YAY...I just picked this audio up from the library a few days ago. Finishing up Stephen King's Duma Key first....also good.
Both of us liked reading this one. Here is a link to our review if interested: http://ourstack.blogspot.com/2011/08/before-i-go-to-sleep-by-s-j-watson.html

The more I hear about this book the more I want t read it. I'm not sure I've ran across a bad review.
You know I'm always looking for a good audiobook -- I must add this to my list. I like the premise and the narrator.
Audio is not my thing yet, but this story sounds amazing! I could not imagine living my life this way. Thanks for the great review :)
