Tuesday's Intro and Teaser

FFT is hosted by Diane of Bibliophile By the Sea where we share the opening paragraph of our current read to see if others would read the book based on that first paragraph.  Please feel free to join in, First Chapter~First Paragraph~Tuesday Intros.

"I was served with divorce papers this morning.  I've had better starts to the day.  And though I knew they were coming, the actual moment when they landed in my hand still threw me.  Because their arrival announced announced:  this is the beginning of the end.

I live in a small cottage.  It's located on the back road near the town of Edgecomb, Maine.  The cottage is simple:  two bedrooms, a study, and open-plan living/kitchen area, whitewashed walls, stained floorboards.  I bought it a year ago when I came into some money."

I picked this book up yesterday afternoon and have been mesmerized.

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of  Should Be Reading.  Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
Grab your current read
Open to a random page
Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!). Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR if they like your teasers!

Love it. Can't wait to see what you think when you're done. Consider me teased.

What a great start. I hope the rest of the book lives up to it.

What a jump, from divorce to where she lives. Too much for me.
