Like Mother, Like Son
My son, James, did not read my "Note to Self" post of two weeks ago. He was gone all weekend to Chicago at his girlfriend's family reunion, they left 3 am Monday to come home. He went right to bed to sleep before having to be at work by 4pm. He woke up late, flew out of bed, into clothes and went to work. About 7:30 pm he's racing in the house, freaking out, that he is dizzy, lightheaded, short of breath, nauseous, sure he is dying. I knew right away (suffering the same symptoms two weeks ago) what it was and hauled him to the ER. Yep, he was suffering from dehydration and heat exhaustion. We spent three hours in the ER making sure there was nothing else going on while they hydrated him. He had not eaten in over 24 hours, not a good idea folks! He is feeling back to normal today.

It happens so quickly. Good that he's feeling better.
Glad James is ok, you do have to be so careful. Lucky you knew what he was experiencing!
Oh no! Not eating for 24 hours is always a bad idea. Glad that he's okay and that you got him to the ER right away.
Not a good time to be like Mom, but at least you knew how to fix him up. It's so easy to dehydrate during the summer, so be careful guys.
In the rat race, the one thing we forego is food. It creates havoc. Glad both of you are ok.
HUGS!
awww poor kid! Hope he is doing much better.
So glad that he's doing okay!! Sometimes boys really get caught up into what they're doing and need to do and forget about eating!!
