The Greatest Love On Earth

Bold, beautiful star equestrian Calliope Kelley has two passions in life: her father’s circus and daredevil animal tamer Brian O’Connor. When the circus is destroyed by mysterious fire and Brian disappears, Calliope is told he is dead, changes her name and becomes engaged to another man.

But then Brian returns, with secrets of his own, and everything in Calliope’s new life goes topsy-turvy... Through a series of events that throw Brian and Calliope together over and over again, the two find their way back to the love that never left them...
I was lost in the world of the circus in the 19th Century for an afternoon.  Calliope's  stubbornness and impulsive decisions get a bit annoying, but her spunkiness won me over. Her life takes a couple of twists that seem impossible to overcome. Filled with quirky characters, lovers of historical fiction with a side of romance will enjoy this book .

Sounds like one I could enjoy. A little circus, romance, and of course "quirky characters" always catches my eye.

Thank you for your review. I really appreciate your time and talent.

As a little girl I watched Emmett Kelley (a white, upside down smile on his clown face) sweep a spotlight into a dustpan. Calliope is named for Mr. Kelley.
