Call Me Irresistible

Lucy Jorik is the daughter of the former President of the United States.

Meg Koranda is the offspring of legends.

One of them is about to marry Mr. Irresistible—Ted Beaudine—the favorite son of Wynette, Texas. The other is not happy about it. Not happy at all....
But even though Meg knows breaking up her best friend’s wedding is the right thing to do, no one else seems to agree. Faster than Lucy can say, “I don’t,” Meg becomes the most hated woman in town. A town where she’s stuck with a dead car, an empty wallet, and a very angry bridegroom.

Broke, stranded, and without her famous parents at her back, Meg is sure she can survive on her own wits. What’s the worst that can happen? Lose her heart to the one and only Mr. Irresistible? Not likely. Not likely at all....
It was great to revisit with characters from previous books. It was hard to see some of these beloved characters behaving as they did towards Meg.  I was looking forward to reading Teddy and Meg's story.  Ted did not appeal to me at the beginning but he did grow on me as the story progressed. I like that you are guaranteed to get funny, sassy, but strong women who meet their match in hunky men and vice versa with SEP's books.  Definitely looking forward to Lucy's story.

I didn't realize this was a part of a series. I remember seeing this one a while ago and being interested in it. I'll have to check into the others too.

I have not read any books by this author. I think I have been missing out. I'll have to put her on my wish list.

I've heard such good things about Phillips, I really should give her a try.

I've read many of her earlier books and enjoyed them. I haven't read any recently mainly because there are just so many books to read out there. This is on my list, though.

I did love revisiting famiiar characters but, like you, hated the way that they treated Meg at the non-wedding.
I still love everything she writes :)
