What's On Your Nightstand?

What’s on Your Nightstand? is hosted by 5 Minutes For Books and happens on the FOURTH Tuesday of every month. It’s a great chance to let others know what you like to read, and to find new bloggers with the same taste in books as you have.

I missed last month's Nightstand due to being out of State.  I had a stack as usual and read a variety of books.  My favorites were The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest and A Breath of Snow and Ashes (audio).

I've had a great August of reading so far completing 29 books.  The long summer day provides for hours of reading!  I am happy to report that so far, I have NOT dropped one book in the pool while reading on a raft.  A few favorites this month have been audios Mississippi Jack and An Echo in the Bone.  I cannot recommend Katherine Kellgren and Davina Porter enough!!

There is, as always, quite a stack to choose from for my reading pleasure.  I am looking forward to reading The Bishop, the fourth book in the Patrick Bowers series by Steven James, I Curse The River of Time by Per Petterson, Mr. Rosenblumn Dreams in English and Decit by Brandilynn Collins.

I have a few new to me authors on this stack as well:  Linda Castillo, Holly Black, Shannon McKenna and more.

I have two weeks to enjoy before the Fall schedule gets back into full swing.  Hopefully the weather will cooperate!

LOL -- congrats on not dropping the books into the water -- especially as it looks like most are library books!!

That's one think I love about ARCs I get to review -- I don't worry about getting them a little wet in the bath or whatever.

I just read and loved She's Gone Country - I'm a big fan of Jane Porters. I've been also meaning to read Debbie Macomber for awhile now but keep setting it aside for another time... soon, soon. Happy reading!

Sounds like you've made the best of both worlds: water and books. Hope you can keep up the fun! I love both, too.

My goodness, you put me to shame with all those books! I'm hearing a lot of good things about The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest ...

You definitely deserve kudos for not getting books wet. I read while bathing, and generally manage to avoid getting the book itself wet--but I'm always dropping my bookmarks or the little scraps of paper I've been writing notes on into the tub. Bleh!

So many books, I'm jealous! I also love Davina Porter, she's my favorite narrator. She's quite talented. I only read the first Outlander book but really should start getting caught up on the others.

Good thing you have not dropped one book in the pool. A few years back my little guy opened my bedroom window and preceded to throw my books out which then meant they landed into our pool. Was a tad bit upset? Yes, indeed I was. My immediate thought was the amount of money he just drowned! Thankfully this is not a habit of his.

Glad you had a good reading month. I am impressed by your stack, it looks like some good reads are in there.
