A Second First Time

What book would you love to be able to read again for the first time?

(Interestingly, I thought that I had thought this one up myself, but when I started scrolling through the Suggestions, found that Rebecca had suggested almost exactly this question a couple months ago. So, we both get credit!)

That first thought of "I am loving this book!" is priceless and with it comes the total immersion, shutting out everything else that is going on around you, as you absorb yourself in the story/characters! I can think of many books I would love to have that first rush with again:

Cold Sassy Tree by Olive Ann Burns
Sacajawea by Anna Lee Waldo
The Outlander by Diane Gabaldon
A Passion Most Pure by Julie Lessman
and many more....

Read what others would love to read again for the first time at Booking Through Thursday.

I'll have to check out those books. I think I have Cold Sassy Tree on my shelves, still unread. :) Thanks for stopping by my blog.

I LOVE Outlander, but I've never attempted listening to a book...I don't know when I'd be able to find enough blocks of time to put into listening to a book so I just keep putting off doing it! maybe I'll have to have Outlander be my first so in a sense, I'll be able to relive my first time with it!

I haven't heard of your list, will check them out, but I agree there is no feeling like total immersion in a book.

Oh wouldn't it be wonderful to read Outlander for the first time!

I'm not familiar with any of those either - will have to give them a shot.

The only one I'm familiar with here is 'Cold Sassy Tree' and I agree -- addictive!

That is such a great feeling, when you know you're in it to win it, so to speak! :-)
