My scale said that I stayed the same, but when I went to WW to weigh in I gained a pound. I am sure the WW scale is more accurate. Trying not to let it get me down and just continue to make healthy choices and exercise. But it is hard when I had a good week and the scale goes up. UGH... I look for reasons why the numbers go up on the scale.. Maybe I should stop doing that and just continue on with the healthy choices, portions, exercise and water. It is easy to get discouraged when that number doesn't reflect the effort I put into this thing and when those all around me are losing.
But, I press on, trusting that it will happen for me as I stay consistent and motivated. I truly hope that you are seeing successes from all your efforts!

Nise-let me encourage you: You may have indeed lost. We are mostly water, and the numbers will fluctuate. As a WW leader, I was told people on the very first night, in a just a few weeks, you WILL hit your first plateau. Your body is adjusting to losing. Keep at it; it will continue to fall. If you want to kick start it again, shake up your routine of eating/exercise. It challenges your body a bit, and you'll usually see a result. But take heart. The graph of weight loss is NOT steadily up--It's up, then plateau, then up, sometimes we gain, then we lose, etc. Hang in there! You're doing great!
Hi Nise'
If you read my blog you probably know my daughter Krissy has lost 28 pounds with Weight Watchers now.
She fluctuates up and down a pound, too, so don't be discouraged. The main thing is you're losing the weight the very best way - by making life changes in the way you eat. So you'll get there.
Thanks for your sweet comments on all my endless wedding posts. And yes, your name is in the favor giveaway hat. :-)
Keep on with it!! We do fluctuate, I do, at least several pounds a day. Don't get disheartened. Last week it looked like I had gained back some of mine and it turns out I was retaining water, it came right off. We can't fight our womanhood and it comes at us more than once a month, it is several times a month as hormones change.
Keep at doing what you know is right! I bet next week will result in a much lower number on that scale. Keep your chin up!
Hang in there. You are so right, making healthy choices is what is most important. The weight loss will come if you continue to eat healthy and exercise regularly! We're all rooting for you!

Don't be mad at me, but I lifted your pic to make a point in my Rockin' Girl Blogger nomination. I promise I won't do it again!
You are making great choices, Nise'. Keep up the good work. Even if the scale doesn't budge you're treating your body as God would have you treat it--as the gift that it is. :)
Please do not get discouraged my friend, you can do this. You will reach your goals, hang in there.
Stick with it. I've lost almost 18 lbs with WW since March and my weightloss is slowing, but I'm hanging in there. I look and feel better than I have in ages.
There are reasons you might "gain". It could be as simple as not drinking enough water (esp. if you've eaten something saltier than usual), or it could be muscle gain if you've been exercising. Not all gain is bad so try not to be too worried about the number on the scale. It should only be a guide - not a definitive measure of our success. (For me, the trick seems to be water. Other non-caffeinated, non-calorie fluids are okay, but I really do need a certain amount of pure water each day.)
I admire you for trying! I know WW is a great plan, and I've been successful on it before, but right now I'm doing nothing to lose weight. I'm in one of those times that I just can't seem to scare up the motivation. (This can't go on forever! :)) Anyway, as Linda said, keep up the good work!
Hope you'll stop by my blog when you get a moment. :)
well written, affectionate, and interesting blog.
I thought about including a link to your site on my blog.
