What Deena is asking

Over at Deena's playground (I play there quite often if you haven't noticed) there's a new game she's playing called "What's Deena Asking?". She will ask you to answer 5 random questions on your blog. Are you up to the challenge? If so, skip on over to the great and powerful oz, I mean Deena, for your questions! Here's the questions she asked of me:

Why did you start blogging?
I was a frequent visitor at Beth Moore’s website. Early in February Amanda Jones (Beth’s daughter) began The LPM Blog with Beth as a contributor. I so enjoyed reading their posts and the comments that were left. It took me a while but I figured out how to read the commentor’s blogs and it opened up a whole new world for me. Being a prolific journaler since high school, I wanted to give this medium a try and the rest is history.

What is your favorite comfort food and why?
Anything sweet, ‘cause it tastes so good. No, probably because of the intense sugar rush it produces that knocks everything else out of my brain.

Tell me about a favorite school memory.
Right before my 6th grade year I switched schools due to our move to a new house. As the new kid, I was accepted and liked. I made many new friends and was even the teacher’s pet that year! It was a great confidence builder that led up to junior high.

What Old Testament Scripture speaks to you the most?
Shortly after graduating from high school and be accepted to WMU. I got a great full-time job that I loved and was making very good money. I was torn over having to decide to give up the job and go to college or to keep the job and enroll in community college. I kept the job and enrolled in CC. Shortly, thereafter, I met my husband and we started dating. A few months later, my parent’s made the decision to move to the State of Washington and I had another big decision to make, stay or go. I stayed. All this to say, that the Old Testament verses that spoke to me and still speak over and over to me are involving trust, where am I going to place my trust?: Proverbs 3:5, 6, Jeremiah 29:11, Jeremiah 33:3. Look 'em up!

What's the one thing you want to be known for when you are gone?
She followed a legacy of faith and left one behind for her children and grandchildren.

Hi there,

Let me tell you, Jeremiah 33 has kept me going many, many times in my life. It's absolutely one of my favorites, too.

Thank you for stopping by my place and leaving a comment last week. It's nice to meet you and I hope you'll visit again soon.
