Weekly Reading Wrap Up (SP/IMWAYR?)

Survive the Night by Katie Ruggle (#3)
Alice has wanted to escape from her family and their business for years.  When one of her brother's staff tells her to be ready, she is confused. Later someone appears at her window and she escapes. She is placed in Colorado with Jules and her family and becomes Sarah. Jules and Grace are also in hiding which is told in the first two books. . Local search and rescue K9 officer Otto recognizes the haunted look in her eyes, but she is keeping her secrets.  He relates better to animals, but can't get her out of his mind. When her brother catches up with her, it will take the entire team to not only save Sarah, but the entire town.  A fast paced, suspenseful story that ends with a reveal that sets up the next book!

The First Kiss of Spring by Emily March (#14)
Even though this is book 14 in the Eternity Spring series I did not feel lost as the story centers around Josh and Caitlin. They meet at a destination wedding and feel a connection. However when they run into her parents at the hotel, Josh realizes who she is,  and he quickly takes his leave. Little does he know that Caitlin is planning a move back to her hometown with a career change in the works. Since Josh is hiding his past he knows it is a bad idea to get involved with her, but he can't help himself.  We get hints of what Josh is trying to keep secret from the chapter opening journal entries.  Love a man that journals! This was a great choice for a sick at home read!

The Switch by Joseph Finder
Coffee mogul Michael Tanner is working to save his company.  At an airport he accidentally picks up the wrong lap top at airport security. He is sure it is will be an easy fix when he discovers the password it on a sticky note. It belongs to a Senator and when he finds top secret documents he begins to worry. Meanwhile, Will Abbot, the senator's top aid, needs help to hack into the computer to learn Tanner's name. He will do whatever it takes to get the lap top back regardless of the consequences. The chase is on and it is easy to root for Michael as he outsmarts many.  An entertaining story.

Immortally Yours by Lynsay Sands (#26)
Beth and Scotty met over a hundred years ago.  Both felt a connection, but for reasons that become a big part of the story, Scotty did not act upon them. While hunting rogues they meet up again and despite the misunderstandings they slowly get to their HEA.

OK, I know the ice and snow that's predicted in my area is 'funny' to you guys, but people here know nothing about driving in it. Think I'll stay home. I see that you're planning on the new Nora Roberts book soon. I picked it up on audio recently and hope to listen before long. Have a good week!

Good books all around! Great book-reading weather, cuddled under a blanket with a cup of tea :) I keep seeing Ruggle's name around, must give her a try. I enjoy Michael Connelly and Nora Roberts too. Have a good week.

I had forgotten about The Switch. I'll add it my list. We did have a nice day, but now it's back to freezing.

I almost bought an Emily March book the other day, but I didn't because it wasn't the first book in the series. It's good to know that they don't have to be read in order!

I really want to give Katie Ruggle's books a try! Emily March's book sounds good. I have only read one Joseph Finder book. I remember it being very tense.

I hope you enjoy The Map of Hearts! I've had my eye on that one. And I can't resist Michael Connelly.

Stay warm, Nise'! Have a great week.

I read a few Joseph Finder books years ago and now I don't remember why I stopped. Adding this to my list.
